Impressions: I didn’t really get a chance to play the first Rumble Roses. So when I got my hands on the sequel I really didn’t know what to expect. Well OK that’s not true; I expected hot scantily clad babes fighting each other for the title belt. And I guess that’s exactly what I got; dozens of gorgeous girls battling it out on the mats to become queen of the ring. The Graphics in RRXX are stunning. The girls look great and most of the in-game play is very fluid and life like. There are a ton of different grabs, throws and submissions to master. There is also a heck of a lot of different outfits and modeling poses to unlock for each character. These come in handy when taking your favorite girl to a photo shoot where you play the role of the photographer! All you amateur photographers listen up, you can even swap your favorite photos of the girls on Xbox live too! As you battle your way to the top, your character will actually get stronger and fitter. This affects muscle tone, appearance and character abilities. Rumble Roses XX supports 4 way player action. Choose a tag match, 3 on 1 or a free for all. No friends to play with? No worries, you can play the same game modes on Xbox live. Parting Words: The one problem I have with this beautiful game is the lack of a story mode! I kept asking myself, “Why should I choose this character over that one? What are these girls fighting for?” A story mode would have allowed me to better connect with the games characters. All in all the game is fun though. Picture DOA Extreme Beach Volleyball with wrestling instead of Volleyball and you got yourself ROXX. - May 9, 2006 | ||||||||||||||||||||||
